Recognition of Prior Learning
The Recognition of Prior Learning is a process whereby students can be exempt from some parts of their chosen programme of academic study by recognition of their learning from previous experiences or achievements as part of the admissions process.
- Recognized Prior ‘Certified’ Learning is the achievement of learning that has been formally assessed and certificated from previous study with a higher education organization.
- Recognized Prior ‘Experiential’ Learning is the non-certified acquisition of relevant skills and knowledge, gained through relevant experience, which is capable of being evaluated.
This reduces the number of courses (and the length of time) required to complete your programme.
How to apply
You need to apply for any prior learning to be recognised and accredited. You can do this on the relevant section of the online application form.
If you have already submitted your application but now wish to request recognition of your prior learning, please contact us.info@mygabm.com
We will not consider any application for recognition of prior learning if you have already entered the course concerned.
What happens next?
We will write to you with a decision. Once approved, recognition of prior learning is valid for a limited period (up to five years) which will be stated in the letter.
